Finding Employment, Contract Work, A
Temporary Job, And Often Even
Self-employment Will Require A Critical
Tool...The Emailed Resume.

--An Employers Perspective On How To Present Yourself Better.
Those who send employers emailed resumes are often
failing to recognize one truth, we have all received
them--hundreds of them. Over all they are boring and 98
percent are never opened. The logical question here is
WHY?

While emailing a resume can be convenient, far too
many people have failed to make there email stand out
from the crowd.
...set of information--how this
particular employer will benefit
from hiring you. Don't re-hash
your resume in doing this. Keep
your points limited to three very
straight out and honest
sentences. Tell this employer
how you will make his or her life
easier.

Keep your email body brief.
preferably no more than two
paragraphs.

Inform your potential employer
that you've included your
resume via a PDF attachment
for their review.

Finally, DON'T ASK FOR AN
INTERVIEW, show some
personal fortitude and inform
your employer you would be
available on a specific week for
an interview, (i.e. "I am available
for an interview on the work
weeks of May 15 through to the
20th and May 23 through to the
28th. Which would be better for
you, a Tuesday or a Thursday?")

Never suggest a Monday,
Wednesday or Friday to a
potential employer. On
Monday's they are busy trying
to get their week organized.
Wednesdays are hump days,
and people are pushing as they
know they are coming onto the
back half of the work week. By
Friday, most people are tired
and thinking of what they will do
over the weekend.

The absolute best time for an
interview is always on a
Tuesday morning. that time slot
will always work to your
advantage.
